Tim, Ben, and Affinda Group team,
This expression of interest is submitted at the Group level. I am a Career systems builder offering a senior IC profile that fits the way the Group is set up to scale — an AI products and services company at capital-raise inflection, with builders at the top (Ben as Chief Scientist, Tim as CEO) and a thesis that pairs product with service so the underlying business problem actually gets solved. That thesis is the operating discipline I have practised throughout my Career. I have built two centralised enterprise platforms more than a decade apart, both shipped as architecture-plus-governance together, both demonstrating the “outcome-led, not feature-led” framing Ben articulated in the Pathfindr announcement.
The two platforms, briefly.
Pacific Brands Workwear Group, 2011 to 2013. Group-level role, three management tiers above where I sit today. A centralised VBA engine harvesting six divisional ERPs, auto-generating supplier orders, producing branded dashboards per division and S&OP decks for three divisional CEOs with mandatory sign-off governance. The pattern of one builder shipping for multiple business units — the model your Group itself runs — demonstrated at scale more than a decade before the Group named that thesis.
Saputo Dairy Australia, 2016 to 2025. The seven-layer Demand & Operations Toolkit (DOT) architecture on SAP ECC. 970+ materials modelled, 231 Power BI visuals, 155 DAX measures. Designed and built solo. Layers 5 through 7 and the KIM pegging engine were built with Anthropic's Claude as a genuine engineering partner from 2024 — not Microsoft Copilot autocomplete, full architectural collaboration on RAG patterns, agentic exception handling, and prompt-chained reconciliation.
Three strengths I'd bring. Customer-embedded systems delivery — designing and shipping enterprise systems inside customer environments, the FDE-style pattern run across three industries and three different ERPs. AI-augmented build methodology — two years of Anthropic's Claude as a genuine engineering partner on enterprise-scale architecture, codified across 70+ versioned skill files. BI and data platform architecture — 231 visuals, 155 DAX measures, three thematic Power BI Service workspaces designed for executive sign-off and operational rhythm. Where these would land at Affinda Group — Solutions Architect, AI Engineer, BI Architect, something I haven't thought of — you're better positioned than I am to assess.
On location. I am based in Warrnambool, VIC, fully remote since 2019, AEST native. Melbourne CBD is three hours each way by car — doable for planned monthly onsite cadence, not workable for four or five days a week. The build pattern I run does not need a desk opposite Fed Square every day; it needs disciplined access to the customer problem and a routine of presenting back. I would propose remote-primary with monthly travel for board, customer, and team-rhythm meetings — and I am open to a conversation on whatever rhythm works for the Group. If the only viable model is CBD-onsite full time, this is a mismatch and I would rather know that early than waste anyone's time.
The dashboard linked at the top of this letter sets out the full case — five mandate-to-approach pairs across the four subsidiaries, the skills match against Group work surfaces, the build proof on Pacific Brands and Saputo, the three strengths set out above, and the risks I would raise myself before the interview. The site itself, the 70+ versioned skill files behind it, and the company-specific dashboards I have built for the job-search campaign are working artefacts of the AI-augmented build methodology — the same methodology Pathfindr's clients are paying to learn.
Plain English, sharp edges, with the proof attached. Happy to talk whenever a builder-shaped seat opens up.
