Cold approach · Claude Partner Network · 12 May 2026
The Partner Network is open. I am the profile it was built to find.
Anthropic · Sydney AU office active · Claude Partner Network launched March 2026. Anthropic committed US$100M to the Network for 2026 and built it for specialist boutique firms as well as global consultancies. This page is not a job application. It is a one-page case for adding a solo enterprise-architect partner with 18 months of Claude-as-engineering-partner production work behind him.

Specialist boutique firm, not a Head-of-ANZ application
The currently-open Anthropic Sydney role is Head of ANZ, Applied AI — a founding leadership position requiring 15+ years SA experience plus 5+ years managing pre-sales teams. I have the first; I do not have the second. I am not applying for that role. What I am asking is whether the Partner Network can accommodate a solo enterprise-architect specialist, given that ICODA joined this month and the Network's own materials say it is open to "specialised boutique firms with deep expertise in specific platforms or industries."
I am a 27-year enterprise planning systems builder. Across 2024–2025 I architected the 7-layer Saputo DOT planning system with Anthropic's Claude as my daily engineering partner — 231 Power BI visuals, 155 DAX measures, multi-layer SAP ECC integration. Two decades earlier at Pacific Brands I unified six divisional ERPs across three divisions with mandatory CEO sign-off governance. The Saputo DOT system was not adopted; the AI-assisted personal-equipment build was the integrity issue I voluntarily disclosed to corporate security on exit. Pacific Brands (2011–13) was the system that was adopted. For a company that names safety, reliability and disclosure as differentiators, the integrity story is itself a fit signal.
01What the Partner Network offers · what I bring
five Network expectations · paired
Network expects
Partners helping enterprises adopt Claude in production. Open to specialist boutique firms with deep expertise in specific platforms or industries. ICODA (small agency) joined May 2026.
What I bring
A one-person specialist firm with 18 months of daily production Claude use as engineering partner on the 7-layer DOT planning architecture. The boutique-firm shape ICODA stepped into, with enterprise-architecture proof attached.
Network expects
Claude Certified Architect, Foundations (CCA-F). Technical certification for SAs building production Claude apps. Covers safe deployment patterns, MCP connectors, performance optimisation. Live since March 2026.
What I bring
18 months of working in exactly the surface area the CCA-F covers: agent build patterns, MCP connector use, prompt architecture, safe deployment discipline. The exam is a known-knowns sitting, not a stretch. Listing the cert on the dashboard the moment it is sat.
Network expects
Sales playbooks, reference architectures, technical content. Partner Portal hosts shared assets. Anthropic Academy training materials. Code Modernisation starter kit.
What I bring
A 70+ skill ecosystem already published — versioned, named, reproducible build patterns codifying how I work with Claude on enterprise architecture. The Partner Portal asset library has a contributor on day one, not at six months.
Network expects
ANZ enterprise reach. Sydney office is active in 2026. Anchor partners are the global consultancies. The Network is building local boutique presence to complement Big-4 scale.
What I bring
AEST-native, AU-domiciled, regional VIC base with planned-travel access to Melbourne and Sydney. Pacific Brands and Saputo were AU enterprise builds; the regulatory and cultural ground is home territory. One of the rare AU practitioners with shipped Claude-augmented architecture.
Network expects
Trust-by-proxy & case-study material. Anthropic's pitch to enterprises is that Network partners de-risk implementation. The Network needs visible case studies for the ANZ market launch, not just for the Fortune 500.
What I bring
A publicly-visible, AI-built portfolio at robertmclark.dev — the site itself is the case study. Two centralised enterprise systems documented, the 7-layer DOT architecture is the artefact, the Saputo disclosure is on record. The kind of integrity-first narrative an AI-safety company can put a name to without anxiety.
02Why Anthropic · why me
four angles
01 · ANGLE
Production Claude practitioner, not a reseller
Most Partner Network applicants — including some of the Big-4 anchor firms — are still training their staff to do what I have already done daily for 18 months. Layers 5–7 of the DOT architecture were built with Claude as engineering partner across 2024–25. The work is the credential.
02 · ANGLE
Boutique-firm pathway is in scope
The Network's own description is explicit: open to organisations of all sizes — from large global consultancies to specialised boutique firms. ICODA joined as a small specialist agency in May 2026 — same shape, slightly different vertical. The precedent confirms the door is real for one-person specialist firms.
03 · ANGLE
Code Modernisation starter kit is my native terrain
The Network's Code Modernisation starter kit targets legacy-system migration and technical-debt remediation — the highest-demand enterprise workload. I have 27 years of working inside legacy enterprise environments (VBA, AX, ECC, ERP-of-the-month) and 18 months of using Claude to architect around them. The starter kit is the work I have been doing without the brand on it.
04 · ANGLE
Integrity-first narrative
The Saputo DOT system was not adopted; the AI-assisted personal-equipment build was the integrity issue I voluntarily disclosed to corporate security on exit. The architecture is the artefact; the disclosure is on record. For Anthropic — a company that named safety and disclosure as differentiators in its founding — the story reads as alignment, not noise.

Primary
Sit the CCA-F certification
Claude Certified Architect, Foundations — live since March 2026. Validates ability to design production-grade Claude systems. Listing it on the public dashboard and outreach the moment it is sat signals seriousness and shortens partner-due-diligence cycles.
Direct
Case-study / poster-child for ANZ launch
Anthropic needs visible practitioners for the ANZ market launch. I am AU-domiciled, have a public AI-built portfolio, and can be the documented example of what a solo specialist with Claude-as-engineering-partner can ship at enterprise scale. Useful even if formal Network entry is delayed.

Cold introduction to Sydney founding team
When the Head of ANZ is hired and starts building the local SA team, an IC SA role will open. Being known to the partner-success and applied-AI teams before that posting goes live is the asymmetric move.

04Build proof
two centralised systems · two decades apart
Crown jewel · Pacific Brands Workwear Group
Six-ERP centralised planning engine
2011–2013 · Group-level · VIC / NSW / NZ · CEO governance
Built solo as the single planning systems builder at Workwear Group level — three management tiers above where I sit today. Harvested data from six divisional ERPs, auto-generated supplier orders, produced branded dashboards per division and S&OP decks for the three divisional CEOs with mandatory sign-off governance.
The relevant point for Arcadian: this is the agency-grade brief, executed at scale, twenty years before the agency model named it. Six clients (the divisions) handled by one builder, with executive-grade communication and governance discipline. The pattern an Arcadian client would pay for, demonstrated.

Recent build · Saputo Dairy Australia
DOT — 7-layer planning architecture
2016–2025 · Australian operation · SAP ECC · Power BI · Claude
Solo design and build of the Demand Operations Tower over nine years, on personal equipment. Seven integrated layers: source ingestion, staging, lookups, transformation, KPI calculation, presentation and governance. This is exactly the pattern Arcadian's Data Pipeline Development service sells — enterprise-grade architecture, not slide-grade.
Layers 5–7 (the most recent) were built with Anthropic's Claude as a genuine engineering partner. The system was not adopted at Saputo; the AI-assisted personal-equipment build was the integrity issue I voluntarily disclosed to corporate security on exit. The architecture is the artefact; the disclosure is on record.

2024Claude as partner
05If admitted to the Network · first 90 days as a partner
concrete plan · adjustable on day one
Days 1–30
Onboard · certify · publish
- Sit the CCA-F certification at the earliest available window — listed on the public dashboard the same week
- Complete Anthropic Academy partner onboarding modules end-to-end — work through the sales playbooks and reference architectures
- Publish a single reusable artefact to the Partner Portal: a Code Modernisation case study mapped to the starter kit pattern, drawn from the DOT architecture
- Direct outreach to one or two Australian mid-market companies via existing network — scope the first paid engagement
Days 31–60
Ship a partner-branded engagement
- Land and start the first partner-branded engagement — small-scope Claude integration for an AU mid-market customer
- Co-author one ANZ case study with the Anthropic partner-success team — designed to support the regional market launch
- Speak at one community event or webinar as a Network member — Australian audience, practitioner perspective
- Build out the Services Partner Directory listing with the first reference architecture and customer logo (with consent)
Days 61–90
Compound · second engagement, pattern documented
- Second engagement scoped from the first — different vertical, same Code Modernisation pattern; pattern documented as reusable
- Apply for the next certification tier as it lands (advanced architect / developer cert expected later 2026)
- Quarterly review with partner-success lead: engagements shipped, assets contributed, case-study material produced
- If the Sydney founding team has a fit, raise the door on a possible IC SA conversation — now with evidence, not promises
06Risks I'd raise myself
honest framing · before the conversation
Solo operator · scale concern
The Network's anchor partners are global consultancies with thousands of trained staff. I am one person. Honest framing: for engagements requiring scale, I am the wrong shape. For engagements where a specialist practitioner is the right shape — small-to-mid-market AU enterprises wanting hands-on Claude implementation without committing to a Big-4 engagement — the boutique-firm partner is the better fit. The Network needs both ends of that spectrum if it is going to cover ANZ.
CCA-F not yet sat
As of 12 May 2026 I have not yet sat the Claude Certified Architect, Foundations exam. Honest framing: the cert is live, the surface area is what I have been working in daily for 18 months, and I will sit it at the earliest available window. The cert appears on the dashboard the moment it is awarded. The application to the Network is the door to the prep materials and the booking; the cert is the first action inside the door.
Saputo exit narrative
The recent DOT planning architecture was not adopted; the AI-assisted personal-equipment build was the integrity issue I voluntarily disclosed to corporate security on exit. For Anthropic specifically: the story is alignment, not noise. The disclosure was unforced and ahead of consequence — exactly the kind of signal an AI-safety-first company can build with. Pacific Brands (2011–13) remains the comparable centralised build that was adopted.
